The second edition of Arts and (Re)Creation from Africa to the World provides a space to consider how artistic production within and from Africa has contributed to shaping African societies, communities, and cultures, as well as how it engages the world stage and is perceived in the global imaginary. The series’ interdisciplinary perspective on African visual culture encourages explorations of the scope, history, and legacy of African art, alongside its participation in contemporary culture and African development. Arts and Re(Creation) from Africa to the World positions scholarly discourse as a foundation to encourage interactive engagements and cultivate professional networks pertaining to African art.
